Hi, I’m Ken.

I started Dario Editorial to make high-quality editorial work and college admissions consulting more accessible—and a lot less intimidating.

We're a Latina-owned, women-led firm based in South Florida, working with students and writers nationwide. At our core, we're two editors who love reading, writing, and the quiet power of a well-told story.

I work across academic consulting, rhetoric, and all-genre editorial projects. Christina is our editor and one of the best readers I know; she specializes in literary fiction and creative nonfiction and brings something to manuscripts that's genuinely rare.

Together, we've guided over 112 students through college admissions, helped secure more than $3.2 million in scholarships, and partnered with writers at every stage of their process. We show up with care, strategy, and a deep respect for every client's voice.

Above all, we believe in accessibility, strong storytelling, and meeting every writer where they are.

Our Team

To our team, Editing is an act of deep respect for both the writer and their story. Collectively having worked with over a hundred writers, including many from marginalized backgrounds, we focus on ensuring each piece reflects your identity, history, and aspirations, while also ensuring your writing is concise, effective, and powerful.

Christina F.

Editor, specializes in fiction and has a preference for high fantasy, romantasy, and the classics.

Ken A.

I have a Master’s in English with a concentration in Rhetoric, Composition, and Editing, as well as 5+ years of editorial experience across academic, professional, and creative writing.

From college admissions essays and research papers to romantasy, horror, memoirs, and beyond, I bring the same precision, care, and collaborative approach to every project, helping writers strengthen their voice while crafting clear, purposeful, and compelling work.

Mission Statement

As an editorial and educational team, we are committed to diversity, equity, and expanding access to high-quality support for writers and students who have historically been underserved by these spaces.

We take particular pride in working with indie authors, students of color, and first-generation applicants, helping ensure their stories, ideas, and achievements are represented with care, accuracy, and intention.

To us, editing is about more than refining words on a page—it is about amplifying voices, identities, and ambitions that deserve to be heard. We carry that responsibility into every project we take on.

If financial barriers make our services feel out of reach, we encourage you to reach out anyway. We are always open to finding ways to support students and writers in achieving their goals.

Lasting impact

  • 112+ students admitted to top universities, including Harvard, Princeton, Johns Hopkins, MIT

  • $3.2M+ in scholarships earned

  • 9 Jack Kent Cooke Scholars and finalists

  • 100% acceptance rate to students' target four-year institutions

Editorial Integrity & AI Policy

We do not use artificial intelligence tools to generate, edit, analyze, or process client manuscripts. Every project is handled through human editorial review to ensure originality, nuance, and professional care.

We ask that clients also be transparent with us about any use of AI in their drafts, so we can best understand the work and support it appropriately.

This policy is in place to protect the integrity of the editorial process and to ensure the highest standard of authentic, human-centered work.
